About the Role
Data Architecture Leadership
You will take full ownership of designing, building, and maintaining our data models in dbt within our BigQuery environment. Your work ensures our data stack remains high‑performing, scalable, and cost‑efficient.
Pipeline Management
You will drive and evolve our ELT workflows and data pipelines, using orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar platforms. Your responsibility is to guarantee reliable and up‑to‑date data for critical reporting and analytics needs.
Semantic Layer Development
You define and steward the semantic layer to deliver consistent, accurate, and user‑friendly data through BI tools such as Looker and Omni Analytics. You ensure metric definitions remain aligned and trustworthy across the organization.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
In this senior role, you partner closely with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Developers, and business stakeholders. You translate complex business requirements into scalable, production‑ready data assets.
Data Quality & Governance
You establish and maintain strong testing, documentation, and monitoring practices to safeguard the quality, reliability, and integrity of our most critical datasets.
Innovation with Sound Judgment
You explore new technologies — including AI and LLM‑based tools — while applying thoughtful, responsible decision‑making. We value engineers who combine curiosity with practical judgment.
Who You Are
Strong SQL & Data Modeling Skills
You have extensive experience designing robust and scalable data models.
Hands‑On dbt Expertise
You’ve worked actively with dbt (Core or Cloud), handling complex transformation logic and supporting documentation.
Cloud Data Warehouse Experience
You’re well‑versed in BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
Experience with Orchestration Tools
You’ve used Airflow, Dagster, or other orchestration platforms to manage data workflows.
Familiarity with Modern BI Tools
You have hands‑on experience with platforms like Looker, Omni Analytics, Tableau, or similar solutions.
Personal Attributes
Initiative & Leadership
You are proactive, capable of working independently, and motivated to drive projects from concept through full implementation — even in situations where requirements are not fully defined from the start.
People‑Focused Analytics Mindset
You enjoy collaborating with both technical and non‑technical colleagues. You understand that the true value of data comes from enabling people — not just writing elegant code.
Curious yet Critical
You stay informed about new technologies and innovations but evaluate them with a pragmatic and thoughtful perspective.
