Integration Architect

Job Purpose

The Integration Architect will design, implement, and oversee integration solutions across the organization, with a focus on SAP Integration Suite and Software AG webMethods platforms. The role ensures seamless, secure, and scalable integration of business applications, supporting digital transformation and business process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture:

Design end-to-end integration architectures using SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, etc.) and webMethods.

Develop integration patterns, standards, and best practices for connecting SAP and non-SAP systems.

Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

Project Delivery:

Lead integration workstreams in projects, from requirements gathering to solution deployment.

Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Oversee and review technical deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.

Platform Expertise:

Act as the subject matter expert for SAP Integration Suite and webMethods platforms.

Evaluate new features, tools, and technologies to enhance integration capabilities.

Governance & Compliance:

Define and enforce integration governance, security, and data privacy policies.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Support & Optimization:

Provide third-level support for integration issues and incidents.

Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot integration solutions for performance and reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

7+ years of experience in integration architecture, with at least 3 years specializing in SAP Integration Suite and webMethods.

Proven experience designing and implementing complex integration solutions in large-scale environments.

Strong knowledge of integration protocols (REST, SOAP, IDoc, RFC, OData, etc.).

Experience with API management, event-driven architectures, and cloud integration.

Familiarity with security standards (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS) and data privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.).

Skills & Competencies

Deep expertise in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, etc.).

Strong hands-on experience with Software AG webMethods (Integration Server, Trading Networks, API Gateway, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Project management and documentation skills.

Desirable

SAP or Software AG certifications.

Experience with other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration solutions.

Experience in Application Development.

Experience in regulated industries (e.g., chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing)
