Global Innovation Delivery Center Poland located in Warsaw, offers software development and maintenance services to DXC Technology customers all over the world. Poland Center focuses on Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence, Web Solutions, SAP R/3 and SAP BW implementation, Application Management, Quality Assurance & Testing, Business and Systems Analysis. Most of GDAS Poland Center employees hold multiple certifications from Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, SAP, OBI, ISEB, ISTQB, ITIL, CMMI, PMP, and Six Sigma.
 
We are currently looking for:
 
Data Engineer (Azure)

Job location: Warsaw, Łódź or remote
 
The successful candidate will work within Analytics practice and be mainly responsible for applying data engineering principles to deploy and maintain fully automated data transformation pipelines that combine a large variety of storage and computation technologies to handle the distribution of data types and volumes in support of data architecture design.
 
The work will be delivered for a strategic multinational customer. The scope of responsibilities will cover the delivery of Analytics Solution Architecture, Big Data Computing, Cloud Computing, Data Architecture, Data Movement and Transformation, Information Security Technologies, Data Engineering.
 
The work packages will be defined in direct agreement with business users on the customer’s side. 
 
We require:

  • University degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.),
  • At least two years of working experience as a data engineer in analytical projects, working on DWH/ETL/BI/Big Data technologies (preferably Microsoft)
  • Good understanding of the DWH/ETL concepts
  • Very good knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in Python or Scala
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Autonomous, strong ownership and drive to get things done
  • Eagerness to learn and adaptability to changes
  • A professional and responsible approach to work with customer focus
 
We appreciate: 

  • Professional certification in Azure - DP-200: Implementing an Azure Data Solution, DP-201: Designing an Azure Data Solution, AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design or AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, NoSQL
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake)
  • Experience in working with analytical databases (regular relational and MPP-type)
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with Agile methodologies: Scrum/Kanban 
  • Experience in working in a multinational environment
