Software Engineer

• Position: Senior PHP Software Engineer
• Salary: 30 000 PLN gross/ month
• Location: Krakow- hybrid

As a global leader in allergy immunotherapy, our client works to improve the quality of life of many allergy sufferers whose disease remains uncontrolled despite symptomatic treatment by developing products that provide long-term relief. They offer allergy immunotherapy products through injections, sublingual drops, and sublingual tablets – the latter being the newest, best-documented, and most convenient form of treatment. In addition, they produce automatic adrenaline injectors, used to treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) and offer products used to diagnose allergies. They re-invest vast chunks of their annual income to discover and develop new drugs. At the same time, they are working on raising awareness among healthcare professionals and patients, as well as on new treatment options.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and modifying technical architecture/software solutions and testing how they are working together.
• Make key decisions on large technical projects, maintaining overall responsibility for the technical infrastructure and its continuous improvement.
• Spar with external agency technical teams on overarching technical architecture decisions and generally anchor the decisions made
• Provide guidance and support to internal technical resources
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues related to the solution
• Continually research current and emerging trends to identify where we can enhance and/or make changes to better improve our current state
• Assess the business impact of certain technical decisions – being able to articulate the trade-offs for a given direction
• Translate business needs into technical solutions that fit within the existing stack of technology
• Maintain all technical documentation across the technology stack

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should be able to fully integrate with the business teams and technical product teams – ensuring that we’re always solutions-optimal, no matter the project type. Success will be shouldering decision-making across the technical landscape and ensuring work is executed as intended.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a solutions architect/engineer, or a full-stack developer
• Sound knowledge of the following technologies and concepts: React Native, APIs, Azure, Google Cloud, WordPress
• Ideally also PHP, Laravel, Shopify/Liquid, Braze, Veeva, serverless, Omni channel/martech, [BB2]
• A general interest in learning new frameworks
• Ability to communicate complex technical problems to business leaders
• Comfortable working in an environment with multiple product owners with varying experiences as well as an agency partner that anchors much of the technical development
• Effective and efficient communicator with proficiency in English
• Natural curiosity and interest in solving business challenges through technical solutions
• Able to work across competing priorities.
