We are hiring high-caliber web backend engineers who are highly motivated to disrupt data science with automation. The backend of our platform realizes a highly scalable and robust web system that processes large-scale data (a.k.a. BigData) with ML/AI engines.
You’ll be working for a Silicon Valley startup that grows fast and never lets you get bored.
We’ve started building our product from the very early stage and we strongly believe that we can make a huge impact on data science. You can be a part of our exciting journey.
What You’ll Do:
- Understand user stories and specifications
- Design efficient, stable, and maintainable architecture
- Implement and review code and tests, and integrate changes in CI/CD pipeline
- Work with other teams around the globe
Requirements:
Technical:
- CS degree
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise-grade backend systems.
- Proficient at modern web framework and web-backend components like RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle), MessageQueue (e.g., RabbitMQ), Modern web server (e.g., nginx), Container technology (e.g., Docker), Authentication system (e.g., LDAP), etc.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, git, Jenkins, Github, JIRA, etc.
- Strong focus on the code quality
Nice to have:
- Java/Scala experience - if you're not familiar with Scala, don't worry! We're happy to teach you
- Good knowledge and experience of the Hadoop ecosystem (YARN, HDFS, Spark) is a plus.
- Experience in developing analytics, distributed computing, BigData platforms is a plus.
- Experience of Play framework and Akka is a plus.
Non-technical:
- Good knowledge of English (both spoken and written)
- Innovative and logical thinking

Job Details:
- 2-4 week onboarding in Warsaw
