QA Lead (Selenium, PlayWright)

About project:  

We are looking for a QA Lead for our multinational client, who specializes in developing marketplaces and systems aimed at lowering the costs of IT products. They emphasize transparency, price comparison, and real-time delivery options. 

This project is a 6-month engagement, with a possibility of extension for an additional 6 months or potentially longer, depending on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities: 

• As QA Lead you will be designing and implementing a comprehensive test automation strategy, ensuring alignment with product goals and long-term architectural requirements;

• You will be reviewing and adapting existing automation frameworks, enhancing their structure, stability, and maintainability;

• You will be working across all testing layers, from unit tests to full end-to-end UI testing, ensuring complete coverage of critical system components;

• You will be performing manual testing initially and later transforming these manual scenarios into automated versions, supporting efficiency and repeatability;

• You will be enabling product development teams to implement and maintain the correct types and quantities of tests, ensuring balanced and sustainable test coverage;

• You will be helping teams measure test coverage and effectiveness, identifying gaps and recommending improvements;

• You will be coaching and mentoring developers and product development teams, promoting best quality practices and improving overall testing maturity;

• You will be collaborating closely with product managers, architects, developers, customer support, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle;

• You will be ensuring the quality and efficiency of the product development process, contributing to continuous improvements in workflow and testing practices;

• You will be delivering high-quality software solutions, ensuring that all releases meet the required standards of performance, stability, and user experience.

  
  

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of experience in IT testing, ensuring a strong foundation across testing methodologies, tools, and quality processes;

• Strong experience with Selenium and Playwright, allowing you to build and maintain reliable test automation frameworks;

• Experience working with complex, multi-tenant products or integration-heavy systems, ensuring you can handle systems with multiple moving parts and interdependencies;

• Experience testing across both legacy and modern platforms, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to support different versions and product iterations;

• Experience and genuine interest in coaching developers in testing, enabling knowledge transfer and fostering a culture of quality;

• Experience with both manual and automation testing, ensuring flexibility and depth across the full testing spectrum;

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, enabling clear collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.
