As a Backend Engineer at Dignio, you’ll be instrumental in developing, maintaining and improving both new and existing features on the backend of our platform. As a provider of critical services to patients and healthcare professionals, we never aim for anything but the highest standards where availability, security, and stability trumps release speed. You’ll be working in a cross-functional team consisting of product leads, designers, software/QA engineers working with modern, open-source technologies such as Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker. We promise you that you’ll be challenged on a daily basis, where the output is improved health and life quality of patients across the globe.
Responsibilities
- Developing both existing and new services on our backend together with our tech team
- Understand the use cases and find the best solution for implementation
- Work close together with product owners, designers, and other key resources to develop the best solution for each case
- Develop clean, reusable and stable code that is able to meet the organization's high-quality standards
- Working on platform optimization to achieve maximum performance across different screens and locations
- Utilize our day-to-day tools to make sure documentation and procedures are up to our high standards
We're looking for people who:
- Experts in Python 3
- Have experience with SQLAlchemy
- Experience with using frameworks (Django, Flask)
- Have a passion for clean, reusable, scalable and easily maintainable code that holds high quality
- Have knowledge with databases such as PostgreSQL or similar
- Are comfortable with working in a cloud based-environment, preferably in AWS
- Enjoys to work both independently and in cross-functional teams together with product leads, designers and other technical resources
- Have experience using tools such as Git and Docker
- Can spent on average 3/5 days per week in the office
- Bonus: some frontend knowledge
- Bonus: experience with Event Sourced systems and CQRS Architecture
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience working with full-cycle backend development
- Spoken and written English fluency
- Have experience working in team with other developers on the same code-base
