Senior Python AI Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python AI Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

Scripting & Automation

• Develop Python scripts to interact with wikis and wikibase, facilitating batch operations and data extraction.
• Create and maintain ETL pipelines that gather information from AWS, wikis, wikibase, and other sources.
• Integrate LLMs (Large Language Models) for data cleaning and insight generation.
• Handle data loading tasks, standardizing outputs delivered via Slack messages or plain XML.
• Provide data science insights for pipeline optimization and guide business users in exploring data schemas and available APIs.

Quality Control Tools Development

• Build functionality to assess and improve wiki documentation quality.
• Implement automated programmatic checks to monitor content consistency and accuracy.
• Develop LLM-powered checks to analyze more complex or non-deterministic problems.
• Collaborate closely with end-users to refine and iterate on quality improvement features.

C2C Development & Maintenance

• Own infrastructure-related tasks such as VPC management, instance creation/maintenance, and database management.
• Set up and manage policies, ensuring security and compliance across all deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve violations or issues within the existing platforms, acting as the go-to resource for DevOps-related concerns.
• Work independently from infra and CI/CD support, maintaining autonomy in platform services.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of professional experience in Python development, with a focus on AI, automation, or data engineering.
• Strong AWS experience for database storage and general cloud operations.
• Proficiency in ETL pipelines and automation (Airflow, or similar tools) for seamless data handling.
• Familiarity with LLMs or other advanced AI technologies, particularly in data cleansing, insight generation, and complex problem analysis.
• Ability to develop robust quality control systems (both rule-based and AI-driven).
• Comfortable with DevOps tasks such as VPC management, policy setup, and instances/databases maintenance.
• Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and convey complex solutions clearly.
• Scripting and automation mindset, always looking for ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Nice to Have

• Rust experience for high-performance components of automation workflows.
• Deep learning or research background, especially in an academic setting.
• Experience with GitLab for CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and team collaboration.
