Senior Fullstack (Node.js + React) Payments Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack Payments Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Your responsibilities

System Ownership & Feature Development

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Python, and TypeScript.
• Develop secure, high-performance APIs enabling money transfers within the bank’s web and app platforms.
• Architect fault-tolerant, observable infrastructure using AWS and internal systems.
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle—from system design to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

Payments & Integration

• Integrate with third-party banking, crypto, and payment APIs (e.g. SEPA, remittance providers).
• Implement robust orchestration and settlement logic, while ensuring compliance with KYC/AML, security, and identity protocols.
• Collaborate with the bank’s internal Payments, Identity, and Support teams to reuse and extend shared infrastructure.

Frontend & UX (Bonus)

• Build smart, chat-based UI features using TypeScript, React, and React Native.
• Create UIs for FX tracking, payment links, transaction history, and more.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and deliver seamless experiences across devices.

Our requirements

• Experience with Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Express, Java (min. 7 years)
• Familiarity with React/React Native
• Proficient with AWS services (DynamoDB, Elasticache, Firehose)
• PostgreSQL & Redis
• Experience with tools like Datadog and Elasticsearch
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, ensuring a solid technical foundation.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for clear, effective collaboration.

Bonus skills

• Experience with banking, payments, or crypto APIs
• Background in money remittance or settlement systems
• Ability to contribute to React / React Native UI codebases
