Senior Erlang Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Erlang Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

• Leverage Erlang + OTP to create robust, highly concurrent applications that can gracefully handle system failures.
• Develop and deploy scalable solutions on AWS, using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and more.
• Manage and optimize Postgres databases for high availability and integrate Kafka for efficient, real-time data processing.
• Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex system issues, challenging existing processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across projects.

Required Skills

• Erlang + OTP: Demonstrated expertise with concurrent programming and building fault-tolerant systems.
• AWS: Deep experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications and infrastructure on AWS.
• Postgres & Kafka: Proficient in utilizing Postgres for data storage and Kafka for efficient data streaming and integration.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Elixir is valuable; willingness to transition and apply Elixir concepts to strengthen Erlang expertise.
• Experience in designing and maintaining scalable, reliable payment and collection platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS tools and services to support development and operations.
• Familiarity with Python for increased technical versatility.
• Strong aptitude for analyzing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills for stakeholder alignment and successful project delivery.
• Proven track record of mentoring and guiding teams toward common goals.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, ensuring strong foundational knowledge in core technical principles.
