Our client maps cities worldwide, providing businesses with high-quality visuals and 3D models to enhance insights and daily decision-making. You'll play a key role in building robust, scalable systems supporting batch and real-time inference pipelines. This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering, ML ops, and DevOps, and collaborates closely with global teams to shape the future of our ML platform.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands on experience in software engineering with a heavy focus on Python
• Experience leading technical teams or projects
• Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure design, scalability, and security
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, especially in managing multiple clusters and large-scale workloads
• Proficiency in developing and managing microservices architectures – familiarity with FastAPI is a plus
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and tools such as Ray, Kubeflow, or similar
• Familiarity with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Understanding the ML lifecycle – model development, training, deployment, and monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design for scalable ML systems – including batch and real-time inference clusters
• Guide the team in building and deploying infrastructure using Python, AWS, and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with ML engineers, DevOps, and SREs to deliver reliable and scalable model pipelines
• Lead and grow a team of senior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and collaboration
