We are looking for a Mid-Level Databricks & Azure Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks administration and development, along with solid knowledge of the Azure cloud ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have end-to-end visibility of Databricks workspace operations, including cluster management, governance using Unity Catalog, monitoring and alerting, and integration with Azure services. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented professional who is passionate about cloud technologies, data platforms, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud or data platform engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks

• Experience with Unity Catalog, cluster configuration, governance, and monitoring

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and integrations

• Strong SQL and Python skills

• Experience in troubleshooting platform and pipeline issues

• Understanding of security, access management, and governance best practices

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ownership mindset and ability to work independently

• Continuous learning attitude and passion for new technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure networking concepts such as VNETs, subnets, and private endpoints

• Familiarity with cloud security and network configurations

• Experience with cost optimization and cloud governance practices

• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms

• Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments

Responsibilities 

• Manage users, groups, permissions, and access control in Azure Databricks

• Organize and govern Databricks workspaces

• Configure and manage job clusters, all-purpose clusters, and high-concurrency clusters

• Optimize cluster performance, costs, and lifecycle management

• Manage Unity Catalog governance structures

• Define and maintain catalogs, schemas, and tables

• Implement RBAC and data security policies

• Configure alerts, dashboards, and monitoring reports

• Troubleshoot failures and incidents using logs and monitoring tools

• Manage and monitor Genie Spaces and platform features

• Work with Azure services including Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Azure SQL Database, ADF, Event Hubs, Web Apps, and Function Apps

• Manage and troubleshoot ADF pipelines and Self-Hosted Integration Runtimes (IRs)

• Stay updated with new Databricks capabilities and Azure platform enhancements
