Senior Backend Engineers (Java/Kotlin)

Currently, we’re working with a client specialising in AI solutions at scale. The platform helps automate and scale ML processes, allowing access regardless of technical prowess. 

Please note that working within this project means some availability for meetings in EST timezone (mainly till 19:00, usually no later than 17:00) and fluent English.

Scope of Work:

We will support the development of backend components for our client GenAI platform and agent-based applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and enhancing services enabling unstructured data connectivity,

• Ensuring core services are reliable, scalable, and maintainable,

• Writing production-grade Kotlin/Java code,

• Collaborating in a globally distributed team,

• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and developing automated tests,

• Engaging with product and technical stakeholders to align features with business and platform goals.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer in JVM-based environments (preferably Kotlin),

• Strong foundation in containerized infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm,

• Familiarity with Spring ecosystem, Project Reactor, gRPC, and CI/CD practices (ideally using Harness),

• Strong communicator, independent contributor, proactive problem-solver,

• Bonus: Python experience, knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, SAML) and CKAD certification.
