We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Developer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team. This role involves working on large-scale data projects, optimizing our Snowflake Data Warehouse, and driving best practices in Data Modelling, ETL, and Big Data. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Java or Python and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment within the financial services industry. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust data models in Snowflake to support internal reporting, financial, and regulatory use cases.
• Optimize the Snowflake Data Warehouse by identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and costs.
• Define and enforce best practices for data warehousing, including payload design, logical data modelling, metadata management, and testing standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and governance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing.
• Advocate for and implement scalable and automated data governance solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Snowflake expertise, including data modelling and warehouse optimization.
• Strong experience in ETL development and Big Data processing.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Solid understanding of SQL and general data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to develop and optimize large-scale datasets requiring high-level control.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with dbt, Databricks, or similar data transformation tools.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., finance, gaming, healthcare).
• Understanding of treasury operations and regulatory reporting in retail banking.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Prefect.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments (Kanban, Scrum).
