Senior Java Cloud Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join the dynamic team of one of the largest investment banks globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As part of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and applications that are scalable, reliable, and secure.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (3 Days Hybrid Required, 2 days remote)

Experience: 5+ Years

Rate: 1.100-1.200 PLN/day

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, organization, and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Proficient in Java, with a deep understanding of its ecosystems.
• Experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
