Senior Data Engineer – Azure (Remote, Poland)

Dear Consultant,

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a large-scale data ingestion and data platform programme.

You will work closely with technical leads, product owners, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimise near real-time data pipelines and data products used across multiple business domains.

This role offers long-term stability, strong engineering challenges, and the opportunity to work on enterprise-grade data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain data ingestion pipelines and processes

• Contribute to improving the data asset factory and services provided to internal consumers

• Build resilient, fault-tolerant, and modular data pipelines

• Optimise pipelines for performance, stability, and traceability

• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth transition between ingestion, consumption, and activation

• Research and implement new tools, methods, and best practices to improve data products

• Support documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)

⚠️ Profiles without these skills will not be considered

• Azure Data Factory (ADF) – hands-on pipeline development

• Azure Databricks – notebooks, jobs, clusters

• Apache Spark / PySpark

• Python

• SQL

• Experience building ETL / data ingestion pipelines

• Azure storage: Data Lake / Blob Storage / Azure SQL

Nice to Have

• Experience with Delta Lake (Apache Delta) and Parquet

• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling

• Awareness of data security, governance, and compliance

• Experience with other Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Hubs)

• Background in financial or enterprise data environments
