We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native microservices. The role focuses on Python-based services, containerised deployments, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), working closely with cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python microservices that are scalable, secure, and high-performing

• Deploy and manage containerised applications on GCP Cloud Run

• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver new features end-to-end

• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and reliability

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production systems to ensure high availability

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Follow coding standards, security practices, and SDLC best practices

• Stay up to date with microservices, cloud, and Python ecosystem advancements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Python Developer (8+ years)

• Hands-on experience building Python microservices

• Docker and containerisation expertise

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, including Cloud Run and Cloud Functions

• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modelling

• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Python frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, Django

• DevOps & IaC tools: Terraform, Jenkins

• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring)

• Broader cloud exposure beyond GCP
