We are currently looking for a Production Support Engineer for our client from the banking industry in Warsaw.
📌 Hybrid From Warsaw Poland ( only team gatherings which might happen every 3 – 4 months)
Mandatory:
8+ years of experience.
Strong focus on software support (NOT hardware support). Diagnose and resolve technical incidents, analysing and either solving them or escalating them. Analyze the root causes of recurring problems and propose improvements.
Strong SQL querying knowledge.
Strong knowledge of batch/process/job automated scheduling.
Ability to document incident resolution processes.
Good English skills.
Availability to go to the office 1 day a week or 1 day every 2 weeks.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of data.
Experience in banking and/or accounting.
Basic knowledge of Spark / Scala.
Understanding of ETL processes.
Exposure to cloud (AWS).
Experience with Control-M.
Additional Information:
The objective is to be part of a team of 8 people, providing production support, and when no issues are active, the team will join project/development activities.
Production support will be given to three tools:
MIC – Integration of accounting automatic processes.
Main tech knowledge required: Microservices in Java running in OpenShift.
Accounting Notes – Used to perform manual appointments in accounting processes (some not automated).
Main tech knowledge required: .NET / C#.
Accounting Data Hub – A repository for accounting information, part of the data lakes.
Main requirements: Incident resolution, SQL queries, process planning.
You will provide specific support to Accounting Data Hub, and when no support is needed, you can assist the development/project teams.
This is fundamentally a production support role, so please ensure your interest in this type of work is reflected.
You will be introduced as having 8 years of experience.
The team provides support to users in the UK, USA, and Spain, and later will expand to LatAm (Mexico, Argentina, etc.).
- English is the main language, but there is some influence of Polish (location: Warsaw) and Spanish (as it’s a Spanish bank).
Work hours: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday.
- You will be required to go to the office only for team gatherings (every 3–4 months).
You are welcome to visit the office more often, but it is not mandatory.
During the first couple of weeks, it’s recommended to come more frequently for handover/training.
The office is located at Lejba Pereca Street, near Rondo ONZ metro station.
You can expect 3 on-call nights per month (00:00–08:00) with your mobile phone switched on from home.
The team has only been called once in the last six months, so this can be considered additional compensation rather than a real demand.
