Automation Engineer / Developer (AI/Gemini/Copilot)

We are looking for a passionate Automation Engineer / Developer to join the Everyday AI team.

Everyday AI integrates artificial intelligence into daily work to boost productivity, creativity, and collaboration. The portfolio includes Google Gemini, Gemini for Workspace, Gemini App, and NotebookLM, enabling thousands of Roche employees to leverage AI-powered intelligence across their daily work. The team focuses on making AI accessible by embedding smart tools into routines and streamlining workflows.

💡 Role Purpose

As a temporary Automation Engineer/Developer, you will be a hands-on technical expert driving AI agent development and automation improvements across Digital Workplace. You will support the Everyday AI Product Owner in accelerating automation initiatives, developing new AI-powered tools, and delivering enhanced functionality to end users while the core team executes the MOVE programme.

Job Responsibilities

• AI Agents & Automation Development:
  Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and automation solutions using Google Gemini and related AI platforms to reduce manual effort.

• Tool Development & Enhancement:
  Develop new tools and enhance existing Everyday AI capabilities (Gemini for Workspace, NotebookLM) based on user feedback and product roadmaps.

• Technical Collaboration & Support:
  Partner with the Everyday AI team to prioritize initiatives and provide technical expertise on AI agent implementation and best practices.

• Continuous Improvement:
  Monitor automation performance, stay current with AI/ML advancements, and contribute to technical architecture decisions.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education

• 3+ years of development or automation engineering experience in technology/SaaS environments with a track record of delivering automation improvements.

Technical & Business Skills

• Hands-on development experience with AI/ML technologies, LLMs, Google Gemini, and APIs (Python, JavaScript, or Go).

Leadership Skills

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively for technical collaboration.

• Familiarity with GCP, low-code automation tools, and agile software delivery in a digital
