Java/Kotlin Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components using Kotlin, Groovy, and the Spring framework

• Customize and extend the functionality of the Agilent SLIMS platform based on specific business and laboratory process requirements

• Implement integrations, workflows, and automation logic to support biological laboratory operations

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with Spock and other testing frameworks

• Collaborate with business analysts, scientists, and system integrators to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Work with MariaDB to manage and optimize relational data models

• Build and maintain Gradle-based build pipelines

• Use Linux command-line tools for deployment, debugging, and basic system operations

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in Java

• Proficiency in Kotlin

• Working knowledge of Groovy

• Solid experience with the Spring Framework

• Good understanding of SQL

• Familiarity with Gradle as a build automation tool

• Experience writing tests using Spock Framework

• Basic proficiency with Linux command line tools and environment

• English - B2
