Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend components using Kotlin, Groovy, and the Spring framework
Customize and extend the functionality of the Agilent SLIMS platform based on specific business and laboratory process requirements
Implement integrations, workflows, and automation logic to support biological laboratory operations
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with Spock and other testing frameworks
Collaborate with business analysts, scientists, and system integrators to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions
Work with MariaDB to manage and optimize relational data models
Build and maintain Gradle-based build pipelines
Use Linux command-line tools for deployment, debugging, and basic system operations
Requirements:
4-5 years of experience in Java
Proficiency in Kotlin
Working knowledge of Groovy
Solid experience with the Spring Framework
Good understanding of SQL
Familiarity with Gradle as a build automation tool
Experience writing tests using Spock Framework
Basic proficiency with Linux command line tools and environment
English - B2
Nice to have:
Experience with Agilent SLIMS
