ETL / Integration Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM DataStage and Apache Airflow

• Integrate banking applications and third-party systems using APIs

• Work closely with architecture, business, and application teams to understand banking data flows and integration requirements

• Develop and maintain data processing scripts using SQL and Python

• Handle API responses, authentication, error management, and integration-related issues

• Support testing, deployment, and monitoring of ETL and integration solutions

• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with banking standards and regulatory requirements

• Troubleshoot data flow issues and support continuous improvement of existing integration processes 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, data integration, or a similar role

• Strong understanding of API and integration concepts

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs

• Knowledge of API authentication methods, API response handling, and error management

• Advanced SQL skills

• Experience with Python scripting, including data-related libraries such as Pandas

• Good understanding of ETL processes and data integration principles

• Ability to work closely with technical and business stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Airflow

• Hands-on experience in IBM DataStage development

• Experience in ETL design, development, testing, and deployment

• Basic to intermediate Unix/Linux shell scripting knowledge

• Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts

• Knowledge of dimensional modelling

• Experience working in a banking or financial services environment
