JOB OFFERING

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for creation, development and management of processes for data transformation and integration with use of Azure data stack (Fabric, ADF, ASQL, ADLS, but also Data Bricks and Snowflake). Data Engineer will also work on monitoring, process analysis, performance tuning and cost optimization for new and existing solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, business analysts, testers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of various IT projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation, configuration, implementation and integration of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses or Data Platform solutions using both Azure Data stack (ADF, ADLS and Azure SQL) and Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse and/or Warehouse)

• Data processing and transformation of large datasets

• Designing and implementation of the data ingestion pipelines and data models

• Designing and implementation integrations with in-house systems as well as with 3rd parties using API and Service Bus (events)

• Performance tuning and cost optimization

• Collecting and monitoring performance metrics, tuning performance of processes

• Identifying ways of improving data quality and efficiency

• Refactoring code for currently existing solutions

• Proposing solution architecture based on cloud solutions

• Partnering with BI teams to define the best approach around data ingestion and data structures

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering

• Experience in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse and Warehouse)

• Experience in Microsoft Azure Data ecosystem (i.e. ADF, Azure SQL) also DataBricks and/or Snowflake

• Experience with data modelling and data integration (ELT/ETL, API, 3rd party)

• Knowledge in SQL or Spark

• Problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

• Adoption of GenAI-driven tools and systems (like Copilot) into the development process

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Azure DevOps experience (Repos, Pipelines)

• Good command of both written and spoken English (B2 level)
