JOB OFFERING

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for creation, development and management of processes for data transformation and integration with use of Azure stack (Data Factory, ASQL and Synapse Analytics, Data Bricks). Data Engineer will also work on monitoring, process analysis, performance tuning and cost optimization for new and existing solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, business analysts, testers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of various IT projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Creation, configuration, implementation and integration of Data Lakes, Data Warehouse or Lake House solutions with use of Azure technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and Synapse Analytics, Data Bricks)

· Data processing and transformation of large datasets

· Designing and implementing data pipelines, data models and data integration solutions

· Performance tuning and cost optimization

· Building ELT and ETL processes

· Collecting and monitoring performance metrics, tuning performance of processes

· Identifying ways of improving data quality and efficiency

· Refactoring code for currently existing solutions

· Proposing solution architecture based on cloud solutions

· Partnering with BI teams to define the best approach around data ingestion and data structures

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

· 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering

· Experience in Microsoft Azure Data ecosystem (i.e. Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and Synapse Analytics, Data Bricks)

· Experience with data modelling and data integration

· Knowledge in SQL (T-SQL or any other)

· Problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

· Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies

· Azure DevOps experience (Repos, Pipelines)

· Good command of both written and spoken English (B2 level)

Nice to have:

· Experience in Python or Scala programming
