What will your job be? 
 
This is a very attractive opportunity to join a team of consultants in BIOVIA’s Professional Services group working on a wide variety of projects for customers engaged in scientific research and development. You will use your technical skills to build solutions using BIOVIA and Dassault Systèmes software products that enable our customers to gain insights and add maximum value from their scientific data. You will work alongside Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers and QA Engineers as part of a team dedicated to ensuring the success of our customers. Other responsibilities would include: 

  • Understand Customer Business requirements, scenarios, use cases and user experience in relation to biotech and pharma manufacturing processes. Estimate activities and ensure work meets deadlines.
  • Create process hierarchies for contextualising data from different sources such as LIMS, ELN, EBR, LES, data historian systems or distributed control systems.
  • Connect customer data source systems through efficient SQL queries to BIOVIA Discoverant hierarchies
  • Configuration and tuning of Oracle and SQL Server Data Warehouses/lakes
  • Create data entry pages for capturing non-connected data sources
  • Generate dashboard reports based on a hierarchy of connected data sources for CPV (continuous process verification) purposes.
 
Your key success factors:
 
  • Experience working with scientific data in either research, development or manufacturing systems such as LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook), EBR (Electronic Batch Records), LES (Lab Execution System), data historian systems or distributed control systems.
  • Proficient with SQL and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or data historians such as OSI PI.
  • Experience in a programming or scripting. Could also include database scripting e.g. PL/SQL
  • Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing processes would be advantageous
  • Good grasp of the English language and good communication skills
  • An aptitude for transforming complex customer requirements into solutions
  • Ability to work closely with the customer - with occasional on-site meetings
