ICT Data and Information Management Architect 

Role overview

We are looking for an ICT Data and Information Management Architect to join one of our public sector clients based in Warsaw. You'll be the driving force behind how data is structured, governed and leveraged across the organisation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Setting standards across design, development, quality and testing.

• Designing enterprise-wide database architectures, schemas, analytic platforms, and BI services.

• Eliciting needs and translating business, user, and technical requirements into architecture.

• Mapping business goals, priorities, and system features into coherent data solutions.

• Analysing existing systems and identifying options for potential improvements.

• Maintaining and tracking architecture throughout the systems lifecycle.

• Contributing to system documentation, testing, quality assurance, and change management.

• Leading development teams and evaluating technologies.

• Collecting and interpreting system metrics to optimise performance, security, and quality.

• Contributing to the Enterprise Architecture repository.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar architecture role and in total 8 years of IT relevant experience.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.

• At least 2 of the following certifications: IASA CITA-A (or equivalent), CDP Data Engineer (or equivalent), CDP Data Analyst (or equivalent), Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent).

• Proven track record as lead architect on at least 2 enterprise-wide data catalogue, data architecture, or advanced analytics platform deployments.

• Deep expertise in Big Data, Modern Data Warehousing, data governance, and enterprise data architecture.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, BI and visualisation platforms, and cloud integration patterns.

• Familiarity with open-source Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka and similar.

• Experience with data engineering, Data Catalogue, Common Data Model, and Microsoft Power Platform.

• Proficiency in UML, systems modelling tools (Sparx EA, ARIS, or similar), and architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, Azure Well-Architected or similar).

• Familiarity with DevSecOps and ITILv4.

• English B2 level certification or higher is a must, candidates without English Certification will not be proceed unfortunately.

Nice to have

• Understanding of the AI Act and its practical implications for data architecture.

• Experience with ArchiMate modelling.

This is a long term contract, daily rate in EUR.
