Responsibilities:
- Build mission control systems for satellite operations;
- Architect and design APIs and service communication using REST and Message Queues;
- Develop user interfaces for mission control software;
- Participate in satellite testing campaigns in our satellite laboratory and remote locations (all the way to the SpaceX integration facility);
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented and testable code;
- Employ version control tools (e.g., Git) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) to ensure robust and scalable development workflows;
- Manage software engineering fundamentals, including documentation, version control, and team collaboration;
- Identify and resolve bugs and issues;
- Deploy and monitor developed systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience;
- Experienced with GIT and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI);
- Proficient in Python and familiar with other backend technologies;
- Skilled in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend development (Angular preferred);
- Experienced with relational databases (PostgreSQL);
- Familiar with containerization (Docker);
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment;
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress);
- Proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the Rust programming language or desire to learn it;
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible);
- Familiarity with aerospace industry and standards (e.g. UAV protocols, CCSDS, ECSS);
- Familiarity with UI design principles and UX;
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
