We mostly work with Seniors and experts in a given field, creating optimal grounds for the exchange of experience.

A few words about the team

WP & Custom Systems stands for small and mid-projects. Or quick tasks. Or mass changes across dozens of sites. Anything from one hour quickie to a heavy customized (usually) WordPress project that could take weeks to develop. We are an international team with people in Poland and the Philippines. Now we have 5 people onboard and we are still growing. Our unit has strong competencies, and you will mainly work with people experienced at medium and senior levels.  

About role

As a WordPress Dev you will be responsible for the content of projects, and Internet websites from HTML 5 and SCSS/CSS language to WordPress templates in PHP 7/8 language. We are also looking for people who can develop custom plugins, integrate WordPress with external services via REST APIs, work with WooCommerce including customization, extensions, and performance tuning, as well as have experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony. We are looking for people with good knowledge of technologies and techniques who like to develop themselves by cooperating with a team of experienced programmers. 

Your tasks

• Creating clean and semantic HTML5 code complaints with W3C standards 
• Adapting code to the mobile devices 
• Using/implementing JavaScript/jQuery plugins 
• Creating WordPress templates with ACF Pro/Gutenberg 
• Modifying, maintaining, and configuring WordPress plugins 
• Creating own WordPress plugins 
•  Integrating sites with 3-rd party services
• Updating WordPress sites - CMS core and plugins 
• Supporting company’s plugins/themes from the Themeforest market 
• Supporting client's websites, fixing bugs and errors 

The technologies you will be using

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Webpack, Bootstrap/Tailwind, PHP 8, WordPress, WooCommerce, ACF Pro, Gutenberg, knowledge of popular visual composers (ex. Elementor), Docker, PHP Frameworks Laravel or Symfony

Job requirements

Must have

• 5 years of experience with WordPress/PHP, backed up by a portfolio
• Experience as a PHP Developer (with PHP frameworks Laravel or Symfony)
• Experience working with API (rest/soap) and Docker/Ubuntu
• Good knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce platforms
• Knowledge of GIT
• Ability to think conceptually
• Practical understanding of relational databases, MySQL /PostgreSQL
• The ability to program objects shall be an additional advantage
• Ability to work in a team and high engagement
• Professionalism and target orientation
• English - min. B2

Nice to have

• Frontend skills: HTML5 and SCSS/CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), ES6, webpack
• Good knowledge of Bootstrap or Tailwind framework
• Experience in: SCRUM/Agile/Waterfall, working in bigger teams
• Experience in working with big loads of data, database optimizations
