Weibel Scientific A/S (Weibel) specialises in pioneering technologies that advance the monitoring of drone activities and precision radar systems for tracking the direction and speed of moving objects. The company’s diverse portfolio spans multiple sectors, including defence, aerospace, and the protection and surveillance of critical infrastructure. The product is multi microcontroller signal processing entity, where the software ranges from embedded modules for the microcontrollers and FPGAs and signal processing in a connected high-end server equipped with GPUs, which is connected to a computer with the GUI application for configuration and monitoring.

Project Overview

Development of Automated Test, Deployment Tools, User Interface components and modules for External Interfaces for the Product and Processing software.

Customer’s team composition

The Customer’s team composition is organised in domains related to the functional and skills-based areas of the software.

There are currently five domains:

1. Embedded software

2. Processing Software for Instrumentation

3. Processing Software for Surveillance

4. Algorithm Engineering

5. User Interaction software

Additionally, there is a Software Solution Architect and two software project managers. The domain teams are in the size of 8-14 team members and work in cross-domain teams when delivering to projects.

Software Developers

Software developers at Wiebel Scientific fall in three categories: User Interface programming, External Interface (API) programming and Software Deployment packages.

Responsibilities:- Design and develop code modules as required via requirement specifications- Deliver reviewed, verified and tested code modules according to Weibel processes- Cooperate with team (Scrum, Domain or other) to achieve the common goal.

Requirements:

User Interface programming:

- Windows application development

- C#, .NET (new applications)

- WFP, XAML, SciChart (to build UI)

- C++ (support of legacy software)

- Python (only for scription and automation)

- Visual Studio Professional (incl. GitHub Copilot)

- GIT (in Azure)

- Azure DevOps (on-prem solution, no repositories in cloud)

- Unit testing and scripted test automation of code and UI

External Interface (API) programming:

- Windows, Linux

- C++ (17 and higher)

- Experience with Static Code Analysis

- Knowledge of Software Design Patterns

- Python

- Visual Studio

- GIT

- Bamboo, BitBucket
