Role & Responsibilities:
We are expanding our Data team in Warsaw with another Software Engineer to enhance the focus on the development and maintenance of JavaScript single-page application along with documentation of solution design patterns needed to enable business process standardization, integration, and developing new product features. You will become part of an international data department located in both Aarhus, Denmark and Warsaw, Poland. Your primary focus will be on our MyFrey platform which enables optimized behaviour in all aspects of containerized agri commodity trading by unlocking customer value and business growth basis the digitisation of customer interfaces, core business processes, and applied analytics to solve for better business outcomes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Design and implement product features, technical standards and architecture within a JS environment.
• Collaborate with product owners and business users to create modern back-office applications supporting growing business.
• Thrive in a continuous delivery environment by leveraging trunk-based development, feature flags, DDD.
Expected skills & Experience:
As our new Software Engineer, you will be part of an international culture with colleagues and stakeholders around the world. Whereof, we expect you to be comfortable communicating both in written and verbal English.
Necessary experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience after completing a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar.
• A proven track record with design and development of JavaScript/TypeScript software in a microservices architecture anchored in Domain Driven Design principles, CI/CD processes, and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with deployment on AWS cloud infrastructure including Elastic Container Service, Lambda, Simple Queue Service, Simple Notification Service, S3, DynamoDB.
• Experience with solution design in correlation with managing event driven architecture and microservices architecture
Beneficial competences:
• Automated testing using a modern approach at multiple levels (component testing, integration testing, unit testing, service testing).
• Observability using OpenTelemetry and modern tools used in EDA and microservices.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Understanding and experience with CI/CD processes
