As a Snowflake Lead Engineer, you'll:
- Increase accessibility and visibility of data resources and services such as Service Catalog, Data Catalog, Data Access Controls, Data Tagging implementation and strategy. Snow site dashboards, training and support of self-service tools, user training, and participation in "lunch and learn" presentations (in one word, full-service of internal Snowflake usage on data level)
- Build end-to-end data pipelines - work with both in-house and cloud tools to ingest, load, and transform data to meet user and business needs.
- Performance analysis of new and existing workloads to enhance existing workflows and guide other teams.
- Monitor, Maintain, and Troubleshoot existing Snowflake environments
- Write Snowflake Stored Procedures and UDF, implement clean rooms
The ideal candidate will have:
- You have track record of leading a team - must have
- You have track record of creating and implementing work standards/procedures/process - must have
- Hands-on, proactive approach
- 1y+ commercial experience with Snowflake
- 2+ years of commercial experience with both Python and Java (you need to be good programmer in at least 1 language)
- Understanding of enterprise data management concepts (Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Sharing, and Data Applications)
- Experience in cloud data and storage platforms
- Ability to work in EST timezone (3 days a week EST timezone after probation period or maybe less if work doesn't require it)
- Proficiency in English enables effective communication in an international environment.
