„Practice in Lodz – summer internships is a project organized as part of the “Youth in Lodz” program, whose aim is to enable students and graduates of Lodz universities to gain professional experience. The project can be attended by people up to 30 y.o. who are students or graduates (up to one year after graduation) of Lodz public or non-public universities. We look for students after second year of technical, mathematical, business, finance, economic or related studies.

📢 Join our team as a Java Developer Intern! 📢

In your role as Java Developer Intern, you will be a member of an international team who are developing, maintaining and operating 4 applications for payment’s processing and as well source of data of payment’s transaction built in data lake.

You will be responsible for understanding applications, data flows and their business purpose to integrate new modules, changes, or releases and responsible for the development process. You support various installation instances (integration/acceptance and production environment).

You will be responsible to improve adequate solutions, to configure the system, to redesign system to meet high volume transactions.You will use modern IT infrastructure and tools and work in an environment of Agile product development

What you will be doing? 👇

• Build the primary reporting infrastructure that requires high volume solutions, using as well cloud components
• Build solution for data consolidation from multiple platforms, data cleansing and enrichment
• Build the integration with the central CI/CD
• Build Big query landing zone and data export function for data provisioning
• Develop Terraform configuration o deploy all relevant GCP services to a given GCP project
• Plan and build permission concept: Plan and build permission concept
• Implement data access requirements in BigQuery to ensure data privacy and compliance
• Contribute to team learnings by improving engineering standards and processes
• Own solving problems end to end across a variety of systems and services in close collaboration with other engineers, business experts

Which technology & skills are important for us? 👇

• Basic knowledge of Openshift
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD Deployments Tools
• Medium knowledge of Java Technologies
• Basic knowledge of SQL language, SQL Database or Cosmos DB (PostgreSQL or NoSQL mode)

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of JIRA/Confluence
• Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
• Basic knowledge of Agile/ Scrum
