DevOps Intern - Big Data - Młodzi w Łodzi 2025

„Practice in Lodz – summer internships is a project organized as part of the “Youth in Lodz” program, whose aim is to enable students and graduates of Lodz universities to gain professional experience. The project can be attended by people up to 30 y.o. who are students or graduates (up to one year after graduation) of Lodz public or non-public universities. We look for students after second year of technical, mathematical, business, finance, economic or related studies.

📢 Join our team as a DevOps Intern! 📢

In your role as a Big Data Platform DevOps Engineer you will be working in the Big Data Cluster, which is the enabler for data scientists and provides a huge collection of data and a data science workbench in one place.

On a daily basis you will develop products based on database technology which are running in the On-Premise or Cloud. Your responsibilities will encompass the full Software Development Lifecycle including analysis, architecture, testing and also supporting during production issues during normal working hours.

What you will be doing? 👇

• Provide support for bank-wide use cases and enable them to store, transform and analyze data from multiple sources on the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) and Cloudera Machine Learning (CML),
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure stability and smooth performance of Platforms
• Develop Unix based scripts Ansible Playbooks to automate processes
• Support team in Cloud journey,
• Perform requirement analysis, investigate and implemente solutions, preparing documentation
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and exchange with the Big Data Platform team to give feedback and improvement ideas
• Team collaboration using Agile methodology (SAFE).

Which technology & skills are important for us? 👇

• Good Analytical and solution-oriented thinking as well as creativity
• Good knowledge of Unix or Linux environment,
• Practical experience developing software or meeting operational needs with code and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible)
• Basic knowledge of data warehouse, relational and non-relational database solutions (DB design principles; MySQL, PostreSQL)
• Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
• Willingness to learn Cloud
