About the role:

The role of DevOps Engineer involves being involved in and contributing to the functioning and further development of our development platforms and tools. In addition, it includes contributing to the further development of agile and DevOps-based working methods together with the team. The position will also include both coordinating and planned tasks as well as more practical and operational work that takes place hands-on in our IT systems, such as configuration, troubleshooting, installations and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and services
• Monitor system performance and availability and respond to incidents and outages.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery.
• Ensure system security and compliance by implementing best practices and regular audits.
• Maintain and improve configuration management across environments.
• Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in development, staging, and production environments.
• Implement logging and monitoring solutions to gain visibility into system health and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts.
• Document processes, configurations, and system architectures for knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance DevOps capabilities.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in scripting languages – such as, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools –Azure DevOps.
• Containerization and orchestration – working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud platform expertise – hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Platform.
• Monitoring and logging tools – familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Version control systems – strong knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
• Configuration management – using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Networking fundamentals – understanding of DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Security best practices – including secrets management, access control, and vulnerability scanning.
• System administration – experience with Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Build and deployment automation – creating and maintaining pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Incident response and troubleshooting – ability to quickly diagnose and resolve system issues.
