SAP Functional Consultant (SD + FI Integration)

We are seeking a really experienced SAP SD Consultant to support a new project initiative (manufacturing client) aimed at enhancing reporting and issue analysis processes within our SAP ECC environment. This is a multi-phase project requiring both functional and technical expertise, with a strong emphasis on SD and FI integration within a manufacturing context.

Environment

• Independent consultant position (no existing team setup).
• Close collaboration with ABAP/Development consultants and project managers.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience as a SAP Consultant.
• Proven experience configuring and customizing SAP ECC SD module to meet specific business requirements.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a must.
• Strong integration knowledge between SAP SD and FI modules.
• Comprehensive understanding of sales and distribution processes: order-to-cash, pricing, delivery, and billing.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and suggest optimization opportunities.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Project backlog management experience.
• Excellent presentation, collaboration, and listening skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Business proficiency in English and French.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying current with SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business processes and requirements, and analyze how SAP SD can support them effectively.
• Design and configure SAP SD solutions tailored to business needs.
• Collaborate with ABAP/Development consultants on technical specifications and testing.
• Conduct issue analysis, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
• Prepare training materials and lead end-user sessions.
• Provide ongoing SAP SD process support, including issue resolution and process optimization.
• Manage project backlog, proactively identifying risks and change requests.
• Engage closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP SD functionalities and share knowledge internally.
