SAP Functional Consultant (SD+ e-Invoicing, e-Reporting)

We are seeking a really experienced SAP SD Consultant to support a new project initiative (manufacturing client) aimed at enhancing reporting and issue analysis processes within our SAP ECC environment. This is a multi-phase project requiring both functional and technical expertise, with a strong emphasis on SD and e-Invoicing/ e-Reporting.

Environment

• Independent consultant position (no existing team setup).
• Close collaboration with ABAP/Development consultants and project managers.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience as a SAP Consultant; 
• Have experience in configuring and customizing the SAP ECC SD module to meet specific business requirements in the ERP system.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry;
• Deep understanding of SD processes: sales order processing, delivery, billing, and returns;
• Hands-on experience with e-Invoicing implementation or support, ideally in European countries;
• Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for sales data (e.g., SAF-T, VAT reports, B2G/B2B reporting);
• Experience in configuring and supporting SD-related reports for tax authorities;
• A strong understanding of sales and distribution processes, including order-to-cash, pricing, delivery, and billing processes; 
• Be able to analyze complex business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement; 
• The ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; 
• The ability to manage project backlog; 
• Strong presentation and communication skills; 
• Experience working in a collaborative approach and outstanding listening skills; 
• Ability to work independently and in a team; 
• Business proficiency in English and French; 
• Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest SAP functionality and best practices;

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding the customer's business processes and requirements, and analyzing how the SAP SD module can be leveraged to support those processes effectively in SAP ECC; 
• Designing and configuring solutions within the SAP SD module to meet the customer's requirements in the ERP system; 
• Preparing training materials and conducting training sessions for end-users; 
• Providing ongoing support and maintenance for SAP SD processes, including resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvement; 
• Managing Project Backlog, timely identifying risks and change requests; 
• Working collaboratively with other functional consultants, technical consultants, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery; 
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest SAP SD functionality and best practices, and proactively sharing this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
