Software Engineer with focus on Circle K Fuel Logistics & Supply Automation
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining integrations and automations across Circle K's fuel application landscape, including Fuel Terminal Operations, Fuel Distribution Operations, Supply Chain Optimization, Energy Trading, and Fuel Accounting. The engineer takes end-to-end ownership of the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design, through testing, production deployment, and ongoing support. This is a hands-on, individually accountable position requiring at least 2 years of professional experience. The engineer operates as the primary technical point of contact for the entire application portfolio, collaborating closely with key stakeholders while independently driving quality, stability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and support automation- and integration solutions in relation to Fuel Logistics & Supply flows.
Take end-to-end ownership of the daily operations by monitoring performance, analyze, and help resolve incidents, and follow up on problem resolution.
Collaborate with key stakeholders; customers, suppliers, developers, and project teams to deliver updates, patches, and modifications to existing and new flows.
Ensure compliance with Circle K IT architecture and security standards.
Perform and coordinate testing, regression checks, and release approvals.
Document changes, incidents, and improvements in a clear and structured manner.
Technologies & Tools
Programming / Scripting: .NET, Python, PySpark, SQL (SQL Server, Oracle – basic skills expected).
Cloud / Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, Terraform, GitHub.
Monitoring / Operations: CloudWatch, Grafana, Zabbix, Azure Monitoring.
Integrations: REST, SOAP, Python scripting, ETL workflows.
Orchestration: Airflow (AWS MWAA) / Azure Databricks
Other: JIRA / Confluence
Required Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in application delivery, software development, integration, or DevOps within an enterprise environment.
Hands‑on programming skills (Python, C#) and at least basic SQL familiarity.
Practical experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git/GitHub).
Interest in enterprise architecture and integration patterns.
Ability to structure tasks, follow up, and communicate clearly.
Proactive mindset and comfort working across multiple and complex environments.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a service‑oriented approach.
English language skills C1 level.
Optional Qualifications
Hands-on experience working with cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS).
Good understanding of integration flows and data processing pipelines.
Proven experience with cloud monitoring, incident handling, or release management.
Practical experience with containerized deployments (e.g. Docker).
Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
Familiarity with Fuel/Energy Supply business domain.
