Job Description

Circle K Business Centre is a shared service center which supports Circle K Europe operations through a wide range of services within Finance & Control, Information Technologies, Human Resources, Transport Fuel and Customer Service.

We are seeking a Platform Architect to shape end-to-end architecture solutions for critical business processes across a complex ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate with Solution Architects, Principal Platform Architect, and Application Architects to ensure seamless integration of solutions within the platform and align them with business requirements.

Responsibilities 

• Participates in shaping end-to-end architecture for business processes for designated set of experiences and across orchestration layer, various platform contexts and satellite solutions/systems required to fulfill requirements of a particular business case,
• Collaborates with Solution Architects and other Platform Architects to align on end-to-end solution being designed and properly integrated,
• Understands architecture of the entire Circle K ecosystem at high level,
• Consults Principal Platform Architect and/or Solution/Enterprise Architects on fitting the solutions/business processes into and across the right components of the entire Circle K ecosystem, documents the solutions,
• Aligns with Application Architects on how to address particular business process across the contexts, so that the platform is ready to fulfill business process requirements or needs to build up/modify particular services for potential platform expansion, and in the end designs integration with required contexts’ components,
• Influences platform evolution and the way how it can be leveraged by experiences,
• Acts in accordance with general architectural principles as set by the Principal Platform Architect and proposes architectural blueprints, if possible,
• Participates in setting architecture standards & guardrails within Architecture Center of Excellence and in collaboration with Principal Platform Architect/Solution Architects, collaborates with Communities of Practice on making sure the standards are observed across designated Circle K solutions ecosystem,
• Refines solutions with Application Architects, if necessary, before architecture proposal is ready from Platform perspective,
• Serves as a guide on high level architecture approach and guidelines for Development Teams when needed,
• Communicates architecture guidelines and principles to leased teams from external vendors,
• Participates actively in defining quality attributes as per NFRs.

Skills & Competencies

• At least 3 years of experience as IT Architect
• Expert knowledge of microservices architecture
• In-depth knowledge of Cloud solutions (Azure)
• Very good knowledge of Domain Driven Design
• Knowledge of Java, Spring (nice to have)
• Knowledge of SQL and no-SQL databases
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and toolset (e.g. Sonar, GitHub)
• Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken), at least C1

• Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
• Motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes
