Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) - Remote

What you will do

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and driving projects to completion. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping our backend architecture, driving best practices and mentoring other engineers. You’ll work with reliable tools like Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, ElasticSearch, and Redis to build scalable and performant solutions. You’ll also contribute to growing our team's capabilities and ensuring our product evolves to meet the needs of our customers.

Your Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development, software design, architecture, and Node.js and demonstrated successful end-to-end deliveries of new implementations.
• Deep understanding of relational database systems, particularly MySQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL Datastores such as ElasticSearch, Redis, and MongoDB is a plus.
• Experience building scalable, performant, and modular solutions.
• To have at least EU residency and be based in the EU. Alas, we're not set up to hire outside of the EU since we believe that it's imperative that we meet in person once in a while.
• At least one year of remote work experience is required if you plan to work remotely.
