Junior Data Analyst (Banking / Data Warehouse)

Position Description:

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to support the development of a banking Data Warehouse environment. The role combines business requirements gathering, data analysis, SQL development, and close cooperation with IT teams responsible for ETL processes.

This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work at the intersection of business and technology in an Agile project environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Gathering and clarifying business requirements related to data and reporting needs

• Analyzing data availability within the existing Data Warehouse and performing gap analysis

• Identifying missing data sources in cooperation with Data Stewards and system owners

• Preparing SQL queries for data extraction, joining, and transformation according to defined business logic

• Delivering analytical documentation and transformation logic as input for ETL implementation (developed by IT)

• Validating the correctness of implementation based on documentation and SQL logic

• Performing data quality checks and supporting integration with Master Data / MDM

• Working in an Agile environment and collaborating with business and technical teams

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Practical knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, aggregations; window functions are a plus)

• Ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions

• Experience in gathering requirements and working with stakeholders

• General understanding of banking products and processes

• Basic knowledge of Data Warehouse and ETL concepts

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

• Very good communication skills and ability to work in a team

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

• Basic understanding of Data Governance / MDM concepts

• Familiarity with Jira / Confluence

• Basic knowledge of Python (e.g., pandas)
