QA Automation Engineer – Java | Kraków (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a hands-on QA Automation Engineer for a key client of ours to join a greenfield build of a future-state, cloud-based reporting platform designed for performance and scalability. This is a high-impact role within a global financial institution, based in Kraków.

You’ll be contributing to the quality assurance of platforms supporting Swaps and Prime Brokerage (PB) for Equities, ensuring robust and reliable systems across complex, business-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases in Java

• Validate backend systems and data pipelines using SQL

• Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure testability of new features

• Support quality strategy for a cloud-native reporting platform

• Work across legacy and modernized systems, including monolithic and microservice architectures

Tech Stack

• Languages: Java (core), SQL

• Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate

• Platforms: Azure Cloud

• Databases: Oracle

• Bonus: Experience with API testing and automation tools

• Swaps Platform: A monolithic system for trade processing in the financing space

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in QA automation with Java

• Strong SQL skills for backend validation

• Exposure to enterprise-scale systems and cloud environments

• Bonus: API testing experience (e.g., REST Assured, Postman)
