A fast-growing blockchain data infrastructure company that has positioned itself as the "Google for Web3." They provide real-time on-chain data indexing and correlation services to hundreds of projects across the crypto industry.

About the role
We're seeking a senior Engineering Manager to lead technical operations at a fast-growing Web3 infrastructure company. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear path to VP of Engineering as the team scales.
You'll manage engineering across multiple time zones (Europe, Asia, Americas) while contributing directly to software development. As team size grows, your focus will shift from 75% coding (1-5 engineers) to strategic leadership (10%+ coding with 15+ engineers). Now we're a team of 8 engineers.
Responsibilities
Lead bi-weekly sprints and daily standups across distributed team
Plan and execute engineering roadmap aligned with product requirements
Hire and manage engineering talent including DevOps and software developers
Define testing standards, release procedures, and on-call processes
Provide weekly progress reports and participate in architectural planning
Manage technical support escalations and incident response
Skills & Experience
What we're looking for:
7+ years software development experience
Previous startup experience in distributed/remote environment required
Hands-on expertise in DevOps, databases, networking and security
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Go, Rust, Java, C/C++, C# preferred)
Experience with data infrastructure: SQL, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes, distributed systems
Strong written/verbal English communication
Self-motivated with ability to thrive in fast-paced, unpredictable startup environment
Ideal background
Prior VP Engineering or senior team lead experience at US startup
Top-tier engineering education (though exceptional candidates without this welcome)
Experience with: Clickhouse, Databricks, Spark, DBT, Redis, Linux, bare metal deployment
