PLC Developer (STEP 7)

For our Client we are seeking a highly skilled Siemens STEP 7 Developer to join our innovative team in building a cutting-edge data management platform for the manufacturing industry. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic start-up environment with the potential for professional growth as the project evolves.

About the project:

A data management platform for the whole manufacturing process is being built. On this platform is collected and processed lots of data that need to be transmitted from controllers to databases. All details will be explained in details during interview with the client.

What you need

• 4+ years of experience in developing and troubleshooting PLC systems (Siemens S7) in industrial environments
• Have experience in STEP 7 development environment, including the tools for creating, testing, and monitoring control programs
• Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP).
• A solid understanding of automation technology. This includes knowledge of control systems, drives, sensors and actuators as well as the functioning of production and manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of robotics, motion control, and process control systems.
• Experience with safety PLCs and knowledge of safety standards
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Very good command of English
• German skills would be a plus

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test PLC programs for automation systems using industry-standard PLC platforms (Siemens)
• Integrate PLC systems with various hardware components such as sensors, actuators, and other industrial equipment.
• Identify and resolve issues in existing PLC programs and automation systems.
• Provide on-site or remote troubleshooting support to resolve equipment and software issues in real-time.
• Work on process improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in PLC programming and automation technologies.
