Mid/Senior QA Automation Engineer (lottery)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mid and Senior QA Automation Engineers to join our team working for an international client in the lottery industry

Our expectations

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial QA experience for a Mid-level role, or 5+ years of experience for a Senior-level position.

• Test Automation: Proven track record in test automation framework development and maintenance.

• Good command of Java or TypeScript or Python.

• Solid, hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Robot Framework.

• Strong experience in API testing and API test automation.

• Good working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL for data validation and backend testing.

• A solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts.

• Deep understanding of integration and regression automation testing.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using Jira for defect management.

• Excellent communication skills with fluent English (minimum C1) – used daily in an international setup.

• Openness to a hybrid work model from our office in Warsaw (2-3 days a week in the office).

Welcome Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

• Experience with Kafka testing or event-driven systems.

• Knowledge or experience in Performance testing.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Prior experience or strong interest in the Gaming/iGaming/Lottery domain.

• ISTQB Advanced Level certification.

Key tasks

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks (using Playwright/Robot Framework).

• Automate integration and regression test suites.

• Develop and execute automated tests for REST APIs.

• Verify data integrity and backend processes using SQL queries.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and share QA best practices within the team.

• Mentor junior/mid team members and drive technical decisions regarding QA architecture.
