Technical Architect

Branchspace works with major travel brands, including airlines, to design and deliver world-class digital applications.

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our dynamic engineering organization. In this role, you will work across the full technology stack—frontend, backend, platform, and cloud infrastructure—to shape the architecture of Triplake, our next-generation e-commerce platform for airlines.

You will collaborate closely with other Engineering Leaders, cross-functional Product Engineering Teams, partner with the Platform Engineering Team, and report directly to the Head of Software Development. This role is crucial in driving the architectural vision and ensuring the successful delivery of Triplake.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural design and development of Triplake, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Own the end-to-end architecture of Triplake, covering frontend, backend, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product teams to align technical solutions with business goals and customer needs.
• Champion the transition from monolithic to modular, service-oriented architecture.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams to build their competencies in modern software engineering approaches.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that can accelerate product delivery or enhance the platform's capabilities.
• Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to support product-oriented software development with respect to customer-driven demands.
• Drive building and executing of the technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with product vision.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Staff / Principal Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems.
• Deep understanding of software architecture patterns and best practices, especially in e-commerce or booking platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and service-oriented architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.
• Experience working in agile, product-oriented organizations with a focus on outcomes over processes.

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, and MongoDB.
• Experience with payment integrations, reservation systems, and the airline or travel industry.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices, infrastructure as code, AWS
