About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer (mid to senior level) to join our global Product & Technology team. This is a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between development and operations by automating and streamlining our processes and enhancing our deployment pipeline. Salary range is dependent on the skill level.
Location
Our offices are in Houston, Texas, USA, and Oslo, Norway. For this role, we are hiring in Europe.
We provide a remote work model and are not tightly linked to a physical office. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet, and distraction-free workspace and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for C++, Python, and/or cloud-native applications
· Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform
· Create and manage Kubernetes clusters in multiple cloud native environments using IaC
· Manage, monitor and trouble shoot cloud, network and on-prem infrastructure
· Ensure infrastructure reliability, security, and compliance with industry standards
· Configure and maintain Jfrog Artifactory across multiple environments
· Maintain monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
· Setup and maintain internal RLM and FLexLM license servers
· Collaborate with software teams to ensure best practices in build, release, and deployment processes
· Write technical documentation of DevOps processes and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
· 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
· Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.
· Solid understanding of Git and Git workflows.
· Good understanding of cross-platform build systems (e.g. CMake, Ninja).
· Strong experience with Hashi Corp technologies such as Terraform, Vault, and Packer.
· Proficiency in SaltStack, or related configuration management systems.
· Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
· Strong scripting skills (Python(must), Bash, PowerShell)
· Excellent understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
· Experience in building & supporting desktop/server hardware (Linux and Windows)
· Manage and maintain HA Proxy load balancers and DNS.
· Understanding of managing RAID arrays and file share technologies.
· Good understanding of network protocols.
· Experience in relational and non-relational database administration.
· Proficient in self-signed, multi-domain, and wildcard SSL certificates.
· Familiarity with Django Python framework
· Experience with managing and setup of MinIO (S3 Compatible Storage)
· Experience with cloud resources and cost monitoring tools. (e.g. Datadog)
· QA Automation and/or API testing experience are a bonus
· Ability to facilitate Agile / Scrum events is a bonus
