Senior Data Engineer (Python) — We Deal in Terabytes

What you’ll actually do:

• Build and scale a global analytics platform that won’t fall apart when someone sneezes.
• Design and develop data pipelines (batch & streaming) that move lots of data, fast.
• Maintain data contracts, write tests, and keep an eye on data quality metrics (freshness, completeness, accuracy — you know, the usual suspects).
• Tackle deduplication, windowing, segmentation, and come up with data structures that can handle hundreds of TB without breaking a sweat.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize requirements from product teams, analysts, and Data Science folks (yes, sometimes all at once).
• Spread the data-driven gospel across the company.
• Write docs people will actually read, and pitch ideas for making things better.

What we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of Python coding in the wild.
• Hands-on with at least one of: Apache Airflow, Spark, Beam, NiFi, or Flink.
• Fluent in SQL (PostgreSQL) and familiar with NoSQL flavors: key-value, document, time-series, columnar DWH.
• You write clean, readable code — meaningful names, small functions, the whole Clean Code playbook.
• Know your way around message queues.
• Solid grasp of common algorithms and data structures.

Nice to have:

• Experience with public cloud (we're on Google Cloud, but AWS/Azure people are welcome too).
• CI/CD and IaC knowledge (Terraform, Ansible — you know the drill).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
