Digital Workplace Specialist

Blue Water Shipping is engaged in an ambitious digital transformation journey, continuing our customer centricity, and transitioning to a product-driven enterprise with optimised IT. To help us continue this journey and develop our Digital Workplace and M365 experience, we are now expanding our Team with a Digital Workplace Specialist.

You will be the technical foundation of our Digital Workplace Team

As a Digital Workplace Specialist at Blue Water Shipping, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the M365 technology platform. You will work closely with IT- and business teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the utilisation of our M365 platform, to support our business needs.
• Advise the Product Owner on technical decisions and roadmap.
• Technical ownership of 3rd-party products related to the Digital Workplace experience.
• Participate in cross-team workgroups to assist in deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting our solutions.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Ensure security best practices are followed to protect data and systems from internal and external threats.
• Acting as 2nd and 3rd level escalation point for IT Service Desk.

What you are bringing to the team

As a person, you are driven by technology and have a strong ambition to excel. You are self-motivated and curious and have the ability to engage in technical discussions across different levels of IT expertise. You have a good understanding of business needs and problems and have a desire to work with solution design and architecture that adhere to industry standards.

Additionally, you should have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar position.
• A strong technical knowledge within Microsoft M365 platforms, specifically SharePoint and Teams including PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with design and implementation of technology solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of different agile frameworks such as SAFe/SCRUM is a plus.

You will become part of the newly formed Digital Workplace team. Currently in its early phase, the team consists of one Adoption Specialist. In close collaboration with the Product Owner, you will define the technical platform and roadmap. This gives you a unique opportunity to help shape and define this area from the ground up.

• The position will be located in Gdansk, Poland and will report to the IT Operations Manager in Denmark.
• Fluency in English is required, and occasional travel days to Denmark are to be expected.
• We support flexible and hybrid work arrangements, while also emphasizing the importance of team social interactions.
• Team members are expected to work from the office in Gdansk 3 - 4 days each week.
