Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Developer with a strong background in software development, particularly in Python and C++, to join our team as a contractor for an approximately 9-month long assignment. In this role, you will develop Windows desktop applications and integrate software solutions with firmware and hardware.

This position is based in Wroclaw, Poland, and we are specifically looking for a consultant who will work as a direct subcontractor for Biolin Scientific under a B2B contract.

Key Responsibilities

·       Design, develop, and maintain software solutions mainly for Windows desktop GUIs

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features

·       Integrate software solutions with hardware systems

·       Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability

·       Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices in software development

Required Competencies and Experience

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

·       Comprehensive software development skills in Python, C++ and Qt

·       Strong knowledge of Windows desktop application development

·       Experience with hardware integration

·       Proficiency with Agile methodologies

·       Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Confluence and Jira

·       Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English

·       Ability to work efficiently in Wroclaw, Poland

·       Ability to operate as an independent contractor under a B2B contract with Biolin Scientific

Desired Capabilities

·       Experience with scientific computing and numerical methods.

·       Familiarity with scientific visualization and data analysis tools and libraries.
