Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our Platform Architecture team. This role will focus on designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions on the Azure platform. The successful candidate will collaborate with product, data engineering, security, and network teams to translate business needs into robust data architectures and reusable solution blueprints.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data engineering, security, network) to translate business requirements into Azure-based data solutions.
• Define and maintain reference architectures and reusable solution blueprints for common data use cases.
• Continuously update platform standards based on Azure roadmap and new service capabilities, including technology selection.
• Ensure all solutions comply with enterprise network standards, including VNet design, subnets, NSGs, routing, and firewalls.
• Design and enforce private connectivity patterns such as Private Link, private endpoints, VNet integration, ExpressRoute, and VPN.
• Embed security by design in all blueprints, including identity and access management, encryption, secrets, and key management.
• Integrate AI and advanced analytics capabilities into platform approaches.
• Establish standards for data models, naming conventions, metadata, data quality, and lifecycle management.
• Lead or contribute to architecture and design reviews, ensuring adherence to platform and security standards.
• Define monitoring, logging, and observability patterns using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and security tooling.

Role Requirements:

• Deep hands-on experience with core Azure data services including Data Lake, Synapse/Fabric, Databricks, Data Factory, Event Hub, Azure SQL, etc.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, routing, Private Link, ExpressRoute/VPN,nd hybrid connectivity.
• Solid knowledge of cloud security concepts, including Entra ID, RBAC, least privilege, encryption, Key Vault, and secrets managment.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM, and experience with CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

Your skills & experience

• 5–8+ years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions in the cloud (preferably Azure).

• Hands-on experience with key Azure services: Data Lake, Synapse/Fabric, Databricks, Data Factory, Event Hub, Azure SQL.

• Strong understanding of Azure networking: VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, firewalls, Private Link, ExpressRoute/VPN.

• Solid knowledge of cloud security concepts: Entra ID, RBAC, least privilege, Key Vault, and secrets management.

• Proven ability to define and maintain architecture standards, data models, metadata, data quality, and lifecycle management.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM) and CI/CD practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
