About the Client:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in Kong Konnect to join our client's Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on enabling self-service API management, governance, and observability across hybrid cloud environments.
What you will do:
Design and operate API management solutions using Kong Konnect in production environments
Collaborate with platform engineering and infrastructure teams to scale API platforms across AWS and/or Azure
Manage services and ingress in Kubernetes using Kong Gateway
Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps practices
Ensure secure API access using protocols like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT
Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Bash or Python
Support governance and observability across the organization
What we are looking for:
Minimum 3 years of experience with Kong Gateway, including at least 1 year with Kong Konnect in production
Strong background in platform engineering or infrastructure
Solid understanding of API management, REST, and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
Knowledge of identity and security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT)
Strong scripting/automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
