About the Client
We are seeking a highly experienced Rust Tech Lead to join our SAFe Agile team developing a Helix Data Manager for a new molecular diagnostic instrument.
The Role as the Tech Lead, you will act as a senior member of the core leadership alongside the Scrum Master and Product Owner. You will guide a cross-functional team of software engineers and testers, working closely with engineers and architects to deliver working, tested software in short cycles. You will set technical standards and ensure they are met and develop according to QMS process.
What you will do:
Establish, maintain, and champion coding guidelines, architectural principles, and engineering best practices across the Rust development team.
Collaborate directly with architects to shape and refine the system architecture, ensuring technical alignment and scalability across the Agile Release Train (ART).
Ensure all code strictly follows technical standards and system architecture.
Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning every 8-12 weeks to estimate capacity, draft plans, identify dependencies, and commit to objectives.
Lead execution during 2-week iterations, including iteration planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and reviews.
Drive "Built-In Quality" by implementing test-first practices (TDD/BDD), peer code reviews, and robust automated regression tests.
Manage continuous integration with other ART teams to prevent integration bottlenecks and support bi-weekly system demos.
Drive continuous improvement.
What we are looking for:
Experience in technical leadership role.
Advanced proficiency in RUST (Rust Foundation / Rust Advance).
Strong experience with React and web development.
Expertise in API Design & system integration.
Proficiency in Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of design patterns.
Advanced knowledge of algorithm programming.
Experience in Domain Driven Design (DDD).
Knowledge of event sourcing architectures.
Hands-on experience using AI tools for daily work like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex.
Expertise in automated testing, covering UI and integration testing between backend and frontend.
Nice to have skills:
Experience with Event Store.
Experience building web application in WebAssembly.
Certification in the SAFe Agile Framework (e.g., SAFe agile software engineering, SAFe for Architects, or SAFe practitioner.
English proficiency on C1+ level.
Collaborative, alignment-seeking, and deeply curious about the full product.
Highly effective communication skills with the ability to advocate for technical standards.
